MARVIN Gaye's hit Sexual Healing has been voted top song to get couples in the mood for love.
The study analysed music from the past 40 years to find which tracks turned people on. One in five of the 2,000 polled voted for the 1982 soul hit.
U2's With or Without You was second with Barry White's My First My Last My Everything and Serge Gainsbourg's Jet'aime joint third.
Music psychologist Tomas Chamorro- Premuzic, who did the study for Yahoo Music, said: "Music has arousing effects. One of its functions is to seduce. For this it must have a single lead voice and romantic or sensual lyrics the listener can identify with."
He added the artist and video are also important.
